Fired 90 Day Fiancé cast member Alina Kozhevnikova has called out other franchise alums who she thinks were much worse than her and deserved to be axed. Alina and Caleb Greenwood, with whom she featured in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5, had a unique love story to begin with. Alina, who has a condition called diastrophic dysplasia had sent a friend request to Caleb on Facebook while trying to learn English a decade ago. The teenagers grew up and lost touch, but Caleb came across Alina’s profile on Tinder when he was planning a Russia trip. While the vacation didn’t culminate, Alina met Caleb for the first time in person in Turkey on the TLC show.
But things didn’t go as planned for Alina, who Caleb thought was smaller than he had imagined her to be. Aspiring singer Alina wanted to “cuddle” with Caleb but he kept giving her excuses to not get intimate with her. Eventually, Alina and Caleb did end up having sex in one of the most uncomfortable scenes in the history of 90 Day Fiancé. However, several racist posts by Alina made years ago on Instagram and Facebook were discovered by TLC viewers. 90 Day Fiancé star Alina had offended several races, religions, and communities through her controversial statements, which she initially claimed were the result of Photoshop. But as fans kept protesting for Alina to be removed from 90 Day Fiancé, TLC did post a statement saying they do not tolerate racism or discrimination of any kind.
Alina and Caleb’s scenes were scrubbed off entirely from Before the 90 Days season 5 and a hasty ending saw him breaking up with her because of her being a little person. But even with Alina missing from many episodes, her popularity seemingly hasn’t dwindled much. Alina receives plenty of questions from her Instagram admirers on the regular and one of them asked her, “How did you feel about TLC firing u when others who have done worse have not been?” The 90 Day Fiancé franchise alum said that it seems sort of funny and sad to her that “alleged s*xual abusers, felons, emotional abusers etc are fine.” But her using a “racial slur while s**tposting in her early 20s” was not.
Alina admitted that what she did wasn’t right. She noted that she did apologize but she does find the entire situation to be “just strange.” Meanwhile, Alina confessed that she was fine after what happened. Unlike some cast members, for whom the show has become their whole life, Alina said that she has a lot going on. As per Alina, 90 Day Fiancé was just a fun activity for her. “Also my country started A F*****G WAR,” she added. Because of this, her getting fired from 90 Day Fiancé seems insignificant to Alina now.
Originally from Moscow, Alina now stays in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she moved with Caleb’s assistance. Surprisingly, it was Caleb who helped both Alina and her BFF Elijah purchase their plane tickets to Argentina when their cards were blocked due to them being Russian. Alina has lost a lot of friends that she made during Before the 90 Days following the scandal. But Caleb has stayed by her side as an important person in her life. Alina regrets her actions from her past, but not the relationship she had with Caleb. The professional video editor even claims that 90 Day Fiancé fans haven’t even seen half of the fun Alina had with Caleb during their filming of the show.
