The 90 Day Fiancé franchise has featured dozens of tumultuous relationships. Here are a few scenes that have left viewers especially concerned.
There have been plenty of dramatic moments on 90 Day Fiancé and its spin-off, 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, but a few scenes have stuck out to viewers, due to being especially worrisome or frightening. Since 2014, TLC has followed dozens of international couples who are hoping to get married in the United States. From K-1 visa troubles to accusations of catfishing, 90DF viewers have seen it all over the years.
While there are some tribulations throughout the franchise that are more expected than unexpected, some scenes are considered particularly dramatic or heart-wrenching. Colt Johnson and Larissa Lima’s doomed relationship on 90DF season 6, for example, is remembered for Larissa’s multiple arrests. She had a run-in with the law just before the couple left for their honeymoon. Darcy Silva and Jesse Meester from B90D seasons 1 and 2 were another troubled duo that had viewers raising their eyebrows.
The Family Chantel: Why Fans Think Pedro Cheated With His Co-Worker
Although viewers love to watch these 90DF relationships develop (for better or for worse) throughout each season, there are a few rare moments that raise red flags like no others. These scenes leave fans not just concerned for one cast member in the relationship, but worried about their safety. Here are a few moments from 90DF and B90D that brought in views for all of the wrong reasons.
Nikki Touches Mark’s Belongings (90DF Season 3)
Nikki and Mark Shoemaker’s relationship had viewers second-guessing Mark’s intentions from the first episode of 90DF season 3. Although Nikki and Mark are currently divorcing after six years of marriage, their almost 40-year age difference was a huge problem to fans, especially since Mark had four adult daughters when they met in Nikki’s native Philippines. While Mark generally treated his fiancee like a child, scenes showcasing his over-the-top reactions to Nikki rearranging his bookshelf and touching his car window had viewers concerned and scared for the then-19-year-old. From Mark’s demeaning attitude to his condescending smirks, 90DF viewers aren’t exactly upset that these unconventional reality alums are now separated.
Mike Refuses To Leave Ximena’s House (B90D Season 5)
Although Mike Berk and Ximena Morales Cuellar’s relationship started off relatively well on B90D season 5, Mike’s unsanitary habits and patronizing attitude had viewers (and Ximena) reconsidering their feelings towards him. When Ximena broke up with Mike and attempted to return his engagement ring and gifts, Mike’s reaction quickly branded him as one of 90DF‘s biggest villains. Between shaming Ximena for her work online and accusing her of losing “the best thing she’s ever had,” Mike’s refusal to leave Ximena’s family home in Colombia was the ultimate red flag in this failed relationship.

Steven Berates Olga After Giving Birth (90DF Season 6)
Olga Koshimbetova and Steven Frend have had quite the up-and-down relationship since first starring on 90DF season 6, and over the years, many fans have accused Steven of being manipulative and emotionally abusive. While Olga and Steven are still married and expecting their second child, viewers became particularly concerned for Olga while she was giving birth to their first child in Russia. Steven not only made Olga’s hospital stay harder by complaining about not being in the room, but ranted for her to “hurry up” and recover so they could leave the hospital days after she gave birth. Although 90DF fans haven’t looked at Olga and Steven’s relationship in the same way since then, the two are still (surprisingly) together in NYC.
