Peacock announces the first group of islanders for Love Island USA season 4, which includes a model, a bartender and a personal assistant.
Peacock announced the first islanders for Love Island USA season 4, giving viewer a sneak peek at some of the cast members. The dating series, which was formerly on CBS, will premiere July 19 on Peacock. The new season features Sarah Hyland as the Love Island USA host.
A spin-off of original UK hit Love Island, the reality show puts young singles together in a villa, where they “couple up” and try to find love. In addition to day one contestants, “bombshells” are periodically sent in to mix things up. Throughout the season, contestants can switch their partners in recoupling ceremonies if they believe they’ve found a better connection. And Love Island‘s signature Casa Amor twist brings even more drama. Each season, the day one girls are the first contestants introduced to viewers. Now ahead of the revamped new season, Peacock is giving viewers a sneak peek at a new group of islanders.

Photos, bios and fun facts about the first five female contestants were provided by Peacock, which previously ordered Love Island USA season 5 as well. As posted to the Love Island USA Twitter account, the islanders include 22-year-old operations manager for a tech startup Sydney Paight, 29-year-old babysitter/model Zeta Morrison, 26-year-old personal assistant Deborah Chubb, 24-year-old stylist Courtney Boerner and 28-year-old bartender Sereniti Springs. Alongside names, ages and occupations, the girls also gave insight into their personalities, dating histories, types and turn-ons/turn-offs. Houston native Sydney, who needed stitches after a drunken fall, wants to be “a trophy wife with NO job,” and called her smile and boobs her best features. She called Paris Hilton her idol and Too Hot To Handle’s Harry Jowsey her celeb crush. The two shows have crossed over before, including Bennett Sipes and Carly Lawrence’s marriage. Like Love Island itself, Zeta started off in the UK–specifically Surrey–before moving to Los Angeles, CA. She named fellow Brit Idris Elba as her celebrity crush. Zeta, who is writing her autobiography, also revealed she can speak Ghanian dialect “GA” and often talks to herself.
Deborah, whose nicknames include “Deb” and “Chubb Rub,” revealed she usually falls for men with many red flags but wants to change her ways. The Dallas native, who claimed Justin Bieber flirted with her in an elevator, emphasized her bad luck in love. In addition to being single for five years, men she’s dated went on to get married, which she compared to the movie Good Luck Chuck. L.A. resident Courtney called bad breath her ultimate turn-off and listed Keanu Reeves, Michael B. Jordan, James Franco and Will Smith as celebrity crushes. The Florida native, who’s had 19 plastic surgeries, revealed that, like Love Island USA season 3’s Leslie Golden, she’s dated both men and women. Finally, Sereniti said nice teeth are practically a fetish for her. While joking, “Steve Harvey come bite me!” Alex Landi is her “celebrity daddy crush.” The New Orleans resident called crying her hobby and has two alter-egos, the “Hype Fairy” and “Destiny.” Finally, she called herself a “cowgirl at heart” who wants a guy to “blow her boots off!”

This year, the girls will try to find love in a villa along the California coast. Previous seasons were set in Hawaii and at a Las Vegas hotel. Peacock has repeatedly emphasized that their Love Island will be steamier than the CBS seasons. Likewise, hiring Love Island UK narrator Iain Stirling is surely an attempt to pull in more fans. Viewers will have to wait and see if the move has indeed improved the show.
