Paola and Russ Mayfield were one of the first couples to be introduced on TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé, and with years of tumultuous history between them, fans have been wondering how their marriage has continued to fare in 2022. Russ and Paola first met in Paola’s native Colombia, where Russ was working as a field engineer. The two were married in 2013 and welcomed a son, Axel, in 2019. Three years before Axel’s birth in 2016, Paola and Russ were cast on the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? where they appeared for four seasons.
While Paola and Russ became early fan favorites on 90 Day Fiancé, the couple had some hard times that fans were sure would lead to a divorce. Paola and Russ have fought over Paola’s Instagram activity multiple times in the past, such as when Russ was angry over Paola’s revealing poses. Paola also left Russ and his family in Oklahoma and moved to Miami, although Russ eventually followed. The start of the COVID-19 pandemic hit many couples hard, and in August 2021, Paola and Russ revealed they were taking a break from their marriage. However, by December 2021, the Mayfield’s confirmed they were back together.
Although Paola and Russ have had their fair share of ups and downs, fans will be happy to know that this OG 90 Day Fiancé couple is still together as of June 2022. In fact, it looks like despite their rough patch last year, Paola and Russ are better than ever. Besides Paola and Axel wishing Russ a Happy Father’s Day on June 19, Paola’s latest Instagram photo of the family is from May 28 is Russ throwing a surprise birthday party for his wife, who turned 35 on May 14. Paola, who is an aspiring professional wrestler with a passion for fitness and fashion, has also stayed busy by traveling around the country for business and networking opportunities. Besides recently stopping in Orlando, Paola, who has worn many wrestling costumes, has traveled to a number of places so far this year, including Tennessee, Texas, and Colorado.
While Paola’s Instagram primarily showcases her budding wrestling career and fitness goals, Russ’ Instagram is dominated by photos of his family, with many uploads showing off his father-son relationship with Axel. Although Paola hasn’t been in one place for long lately, Russ consistently expresses his excitement and pride for his wife. For Paola’s birthday in May, Russ captioned one family photo with, “Your boys miss you but we are so proud of you! Just remember pain is temporary, pride is forever, and expect victory!“ While Paola has continued to post revealing pictures on her social media accounts, it seems as though the long-time 90 Day Fiancé couple has found a way to work around the issue that has followed them for years.
