Former contestant on The Bachelor Sydney Hightower recently tied the knot with NFL player Fred Warner, and the couple received a flood of congratulatory messages from across Bachelor Nation. Sydney is known for appearing on the Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor. While it seemed that she and Peter had a good connection, she was eliminated, as her fellow contestants thought she was “fake.” Since then, Sydney gained a lot of attention because viewers believed that she lied about her experiences with bullying.
However, she was able to focus on the positive aspects of her experiences on The Bachelor in order to move forward. Luckily, she soon started her relationship with her now-husband, Fred Warner, after the show ended. Sydney and Fred began dating in 2020 and have been very public about their relationship. Fred’s family encouraged him to reach out to Sydney on social media and their relationship developed from there. Bachelor star Sydney and Fred got engaged in 2021 and they quickly began planning the wedding. Sydney shared that she did the majority of the planning due to Fred’s busy schedule and wanted to have a traditional wedding.
After a one-year engagement, the couple were married on June 25. Inside a chapel that was flown over from France, Sydney and Fred exchanged vows they wrote themselves, and the ceremony couldn’t have been more perfect. “It was extremely romantic and very secluded and private,” Sydney told E! News. “And I think that’s just kind of who we are as people.” Fans of Bachelor Nation are likely to recognize some individuals who were present at the wedding as Sydney’s friends from The Bachelor. Kiarra Norman played a significant role as the maid of honor at the wedding. Fred’s friends and family, including Troy Warner and Terrell Burgess, were also present to celebrate with the couple.
Sydney described her wedding as “classy, timeless and simple,” which was exactly what she wanted. Before the wedding took place, guests shared various pictures on social media to congratulate Sydney and Fred. Tammy Ly posted a picture of Sydney on Snapchat to showcase her wedding dress. Others shared images of the venue and friends celebrating the marriage. Previously, Sydney had spoken about her plans for the wedding and experiences with finding love. The Bachelor alum discussed that she did not feel that she would be interested in the type of dress she wore but knew that she found the right one.
