Gabby Windey accidentally revealed a major component of her storyline on The Bachelorette after she let slip in an interview that she is currently not single. The start of Gabby’s historic two-Bachelorette season with co-lead Rachel Recchia has not been off to a smooth start. The two women have been trying to find their footing as dual leads and they’ve had difficulty navigating their group of men. This has led to hurt feelings in both Gabby and Rachel.
In a recent episode, Gabby was crushed when multiple men revealed that they had no interest in her and only wanted to pursue Rachel. Many of the men were seriously lacking tact in their admissions to Gabby, but the Bachelorette handled their rejection with grace and poise. However, in her ITMs, it was clear that the inconsiderate contestants’ words made her feel inadequate. Both Rachel and Gabby realized it was time to switch things up, and at the next rose ceremony, the men were told to choose which lead they wanted to pursue. Moving forward, Gabby and Rachel have separate groups of suitors, and there are several frontrunners who are poised to receive the women’s final roses.
Though spoilers have leaked about which Bachelorette contestants make it to Rachel and Gabby’s top four, beyond that, the ending of their season has remained a mystery. Until now, no one knew who Gabby and Rachel would give their final roses to, or if they are currently engaged. In a recent interview shared by Bachelornation.scoop, Gabby accidentally let slip that she is now in a relationship after filming The Bachelorette. The interviewer posed a hypothetical to Gabby about whether “her man” expects a “Huju” (hug and jump), and Gabby responded, “My man would never make me do that, he knows me,” before realizing her mistake. “Confirmation she has a man!” the interviewer joked, while Gabby’s jaw dropped.
Bachelor Nation leads are always sworn to secrecy about the outcome of their season, so this is a major slip-up on Gabby’s part, which she seemed to realize instantly. “Oh my god,” she remarked in shock, and turned to her co-lead Rachel with a ‘what now?’ look on her face. Though it’s huge mistake, this isn’t the first time a lead has inadvertently spoiled some or all of the ending of their season. While Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season was airing, she accidentally uploaded a 10-second clip to Snapchat of her lounging in bed with her winner Shawn Booth weeks before the show’s finale. Because the final rose is handed out months before the ending of the show airs, it’s no surprise that spoilers emerge—they just don’t often come from the leads themselves.
ABC’s confidentiality agreements with contestants and leads are notoriously ironclad, so hopefully this accidental reveal hasn’t gotten Gabby into too much trouble with the network. She may have revealed that she is currently in a relationship, there’s still a lot that she didn’t let slip, like who her current man is or whether she’s engaged. It’s still early in her and Rachel’s journeys, so it’s still anyone’s game in terms of who will win the Bachelorettes’ hearts. Viewers will have to continue tuning in to The Bachelorette if they want to find out which man Gabby chose to be with.
