According to a new report, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 might be a little more expensive than the Flip 3. Here’s how much the new device might cost.
Ahead of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 4 launch next month, a new report claims that it might be a little more expensive than its predecessor. Folding smartphones are gaining more popularity with every year, although they remain niche devices in the overall scheme of things. Concerns over their durability and high pricing have often been cited as the factors that make people think twice before buying these devices. While recent reports claimed that Samsung is looking to reduce the prices of its folding smartphones to make them more mainstream, the latest developments now suggest that a price correction might not happen this year.
Samsung’s next-gen foldables have been the subject of much speculation recently, and much of their critical tech specs and design have been leaked online. While they were always expected to launch this year, Samsung this week confirmed that it will hold its next ‘Unpacked’ event on Aug. 10 where both the Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 are expected to be officially unveiled. The event, which will be called ‘Unfold Your World,’ will start at 9 a.m. and will be streamed live on Samsung’s website and the company’s official YouTube channel. The company hasn’t officially announced whether both the devices will be unveiled next month, but going by the teasers, at least one of the devices is definitely coming.

A new report from PriceBaba (in association with tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore) has revealed the prices of all the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 4 models. If the leak is accurate, the prices will be slightly higher than those of the Z Flip 3. According to the report, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will start from €1,080 (around $1,099) for the base 128GB model in Europe, while the 256GB and 512GB models will be priced at €1,160 (around $1,181) and €1,280 (around $1,303), respectively.
Galaxy Z Flip 4 U.S. Pricing
Ambhore didn’t reveal the U.S. prices, so it’s difficult to say how the device will be priced Stateside. However, precedent suggests that the U.S. prices will be somewhat lower than European prices. The Z Flip 3 launched with a $999 price-tag in the U.S., so it will be interesting to see if Samsung will maintain that price or bump it up a notch this year. It is worth noting, however, that Samsung is yet to announce the official pricing in any market, so the report should be taken with a pinch of salt for now.
