Kylie Jenner joins her sisters and several other celebrities in speaking out against the Supreme Court’s recent decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Kylie Jenner is the latest of The Kardashians stars to speak out on the United States Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. The Supreme Court made the decision on June 24, and many people in America reacted in outrage. Stars like Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes, Selena Gomez and the stars of Queer Eye all took to social media to express their devastation. Kylie’s family also used their platforms to stand up against the decision, which has already put women all over the country in danger. Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Kendall Jenner all shared political posts on their Instagram Stories letting their followers know where they stand.
Along with calling the news devastating, Kendall also took action in May when she added her name to a New York Times campaign called #BanOffOurBodies as the only Kar-Jenner to appear on the list. Kendall’s name sat on the list with best friend Hailey Bieber, model Karlie Kloss, Euphoria actor Lukas Gage and many other infuriated celebrities. The Hills star Lauren Conrad recently revealed a personal story about an ectopic pregnancy she had six years ago in order to educate her followers on why safe and accessible healthcare for women is crucial. Kylie, who has been keeping a much lower profile since giving birth to her second baby in February, was the last of her sisters to speak out on the news but finally addressed the Supreme Court’s decision.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder shared in the frustration of many when she posted a few pro-abortion rights posts on her social media. Kylie took to her Instagram Story to share three posts from the Instagram account @impact, an account devoted to posting “socially-impactful content.” Each post that Kylie shared started with “forced birth in a country…” and was followed by what they believe to be America’s biggest flaws that make it a dangerous place to bring a child into. One post pointed out that, unlike other countries, America has no universal health care, and giving birth in the country can cost anywhere from $4,000 to $15,000. Another post pointed out that the country’s number one cause of death in children and teenagers is gun violence. The last post Kylie shared brought awareness to the 400,000 citizens in foster care facing abuse and neglect daily.
The posts are meant to express the horrible conditions that go under the radar in America and how ridiculous they believe it is to force women to bring more children into a country that won’t even protect the Americans already living here. Many other reality stars have been using social media to bring awareness to how dangerous the Supreme Court’s decision is. Siesta Key star Juliette Porter shared her fury on social media, telling her Twitter followers that she was unfollowing anyone who was excited about the court’s decision. Like her sister Kylie, Kendall even shared a post on her Instagram Story about a woman who, due to the new abortion laws, was not allowed to abort her baby, even though doctors told her the baby would not make it to birth.
Why RHOBH Fans Think Diana Joined The Show To Save Her Reputation
It’s good to see Kylie joining her sisters in standing with all women who are being affected by the Roe v. Wade decision. While many have pointed out that upper-class people will always have access to abortions and health care, it’s essential to stand up for those who are suffering from what they’re calling an irresponsible decision. It’s heartbreaking to see people who identify as pro-life put so many women’s lives in danger, but luckily, pro-choice Americans will not give in. Hopefully, The Kardashians star will continue to use her platform to help so that America can become a place where its citizens are protected.
