Season 4 of Love Island USA recently premiered, and fans are not happy with the show’s male contestants that were introduced this season.

Sorry to the men of Love Island USA season 4, but fans of the series aren’t too pleased with the islanders that female contestants have to choose from. The new season of the reality dating competition series premiered on July 19th on its new platform, Peacock. Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland took over as the new host, while Love Island UK host Iain Stirling took Matthew Hoffman’s spot as the US narrator. So far, most contestants on the show are coupled up with fans still waiting on Valerie to make a decision on who she wants to choose. Isaiah seems to be her top choice at the moment.

Valerie and Mady arrived at the Love Island villa at the end of the season premiere, shaking up the female contestant’s world as they wondered if any of them would be left single. So far Courtney, the season’s only bisexual character, has been left without a partner after Mady coupled up with her previous partner, Andy. Luckily for Courtney, fans didn’t see the chemistry between her and Andy anyway and think she should instead go for one of the female islanders. As of episode 2, all other Love Island USA couples are safe from being single.

Unfortunately, fans of Love Island USA don’t think the women on the show have many options when choosing a partner. “Love Island did these girls dirty with this selection of men….” Reddit user Thatswhatshesaid wrote. Aside from not being physically attracted to the islanders, fans think their overall personalities are pretty bad too. They’re even hoping that all the men get voted off and replaced by new contestants as the season goes on. “Yup most of these guys give me the ick,” another fan agreed.

Fans seem particularly turned off by Andy, Timmy, and Isaiah. However, on the show, the men easily coupled up with the female contestants, and some of them are even worried they will be taken away from them when new contestants join the show. Despite not having much of a connection with Andy, Courtney looked upset to lose him to Mady, and Sydney broke down in tears when she suspected Isaiah may go off with Valerie instead of her. As for Timmy, he and Zeta are safe for now.

Some fans are blaming casting directors for being out of touch and too old to know what young women are interested in, but perhaps they’re being a little too harsh. The season’s barely begun, and the men have plenty of time to prove themselves. As the contestants get to know each other, they may just find an unbreakable connection even if fans of the series don’t see the attraction. However, if the men can’t win fans over by the end of the season, then Love Island USA should definitely take note when casting for season 5.
