Martell Holt is singing a new tune, and the Love & Marriage Huntsville star is expressing his regrets for cheating on his ex-wife Melody Holt.
Martell Holt is finally expressing his regrets for cheating on his ex-wife Melody Holt years after the Love & Marriage: Huntsville star’s divorce. Martell and Melody’s messy divorce has been at the forefront of the show’s drama. Fans have watched the Holts go from being a happily married couple to bitter exes unable to resist verbally attacking each other any chance they get. With four children in the picture, Martell and Melody have had to navigate the new dynamics of their co-parenting relationship after ending their 12-year marriage.
Martell has been one of the show’s biggest villains for causing his divorce from Melody due to a years-long affair with his mistress, Arionne Curry. Martell was put on blast during Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 1 when news of the affair was revealed on the show. Melody tried being patient with Martell, her then-husband, and struggled with filing for divorce. But when she learned she was pregnant with their fourth child, the divorce was called off, and the Holts tried to make things work. But season 2 saw the final straw for Melody when Martell was caught receiving phone calls from Arionne. In 2020, Melody officially filed for divorce from Martell. Despite fan speculation, Melody insists she has no intentions of ever taking Martell back.

But it looks like Martell wishes things were different. He recently opened up about his divorce and how he regrets cheating on his ex-wife. “I think that was very foolish of me to do such a thing,” Martell, who’s now dating Shereé Whitfield from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, admitted on the CheMinistry Rejection Panel. He explained how Arionne was only able to give him “15%” of what he needed in a romantic relationship. “But at that time, I wasn’t thinking like, ‘Oh, my wife, she’s giving me 85% and she’s giving me 15,’ or whatever. I wasn’t thinking like that,” Martell confessed. Now in hindsight, Martell says he should’ve stayed inside the house with his wife and kids. “But that wasn’t the case. I think that I just wasn’t thinking,” he said.
Elsewhere, Martell recalled the night he met Arionne after arguing with Melody and becoming upset by her telling him to “‘Go out there and find you a girlfriend.’” Martell claims Melody’s words hurt him so much that he ended up meeting a woman that night and telling her, “I want you to be my girlfriend.” Fans of the show have long accused Martell from Love & Marriage: Huntsville of gaslighting viewers and the cast to gain favor. His latest confession comes after Melody took to Instagram last month to shut down speculation about reconciliation with Martell. “NO, my ex and I are NOT back together, dating NADA, okay? I’m good over here,” Melody exclaimed. She also called out those who encourage women to go back to “abusive” relationships.

Melody has never held back when blasting Martell on Love & Marriage: Huntsville and on social media. While Melody and Martell remain united as co-parents, their loyalty as friends remains a question mark. Melody has feuded with old friends that stem from her messy divorce with Martell. The ongoing divorce drama between Melody and Martell remains a major talking point on the show. It wasn’t too long ago when Martell was posing for selfies with Arionne, so fans find it ironic that now he’s expressing his regrets for entertaining the “15%” she gave him during the years they were having an affair.
