Kyle Richards is responding amid backlash The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is receiving over Erika Jayne scolding Garcelle’s son.
Kyle Richards of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is attempting to clear up her seemingly nonchalant response to Erika Jayne cussing out Garcelle Beauvais’ teenage son on a new episode. Kyle, Erika, and Dorit Kemsley have been under fire over a preview clip that showed Kyle and Dorit laughing with their husbands, Mauricio Umansky and PK Kemsley, after witnessing a visibly intoxicated Erika cuss at Garcelle’s 14-year-old son Jax shortly after flirting with her eldest son Oliver. While discussing Garcelle’s two sons falling victim to Erika’s drunken behavior at their mom’s birthday party, Kyle and Dorit laughed off Erika’s actions and applauded her for being “more relaxed” after years of the group complaining about her reclusive nature.
Fans have been outraged and calling for the removal of the trio from the show. Many accuse Erika of being insensitive and are tired of seeing her rewarded with a reality TV gig. Kyle has been facing criticism from viewers who want the OG housewife demoted to a friend or removed entirely. Dorit was already facing criticism from viewers who say she is boring and adds nothing special to the show. Now, seeing the trio seemingly band together against Garcelle and her children has many fans demanding the removal of at least one of the ladies, as well as Lisa Rinna.

Amid the backlash, Kyle responded to the Queens of Bravo‘s repost of the preview clip showing her and Mauricio laughing with Dorit and PK about Erika’s mistreatment of Garcelle’s sons. “I was laughing about a friend’s drunken, ridiculous behavior,” Kyle claimed. “NOT about disrespecting someone’s child.” She told the fan page that she didn’t witness Erika’s exchange with Garcelle’s 14-year-old son firsthand, she was just reacting to “what she had said later.” But watching the clip, Kyle clearly laughs while saying Erika told Garcelle’s teenage son to “fu*k off.” Her husband responds, noting how “great” he found the exchange with Dorit and PK agreeing. At one point, Dorit admits to giving Erika a “pass,” since she didn’t cuss at her child before her husband jokes about Erika having a “blow out” after cussing at Garcelle’s 14-year-old shortly after flirting with her 31-year-old son.
After RHOBH star Kyle attempted to clear up her response, fans continued bashing the OG housewife for trying to downplay her “mean girls” moment. “The four of you were laughing,” one fan wrote. “You and your husband showing your true selves,” added another. It’s clear that it’ll take a lot more than an Instagram comment for Kyle, Dorit, and Erika to redeem themselves. Erika has shown how unbothered she is by being painted as a villain by viewers. But Kyle and Dorit portray themselves as more empathetic reality stars than Erika and probably don’t like all the backlash they’re receiving.
What Has Eden Sassoon Been Up To Since RHOBH Season 7
With children being involved in the shady moment, viewers aren’t sweeping the latest exchange under the rug. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is calling for someone to leave the show and it’ll be up to producers to respond. With a number of viewers threatening to boycott the show, Andy Cohen will have to decide on how to move forward. Between Lisa Rinna expressing a microaggression about Garcelle and other housewives of color, Erika cussing at a Black child, and four white cast members laughing at it, Bravo might need to do some major damage control to avoid losing viewers.
