Fans are expecting Vicki Gunvalson to ‘whoop it up’ in RHUGT season 2, but so far she is a wet blanket. Many think she should have stayed home.
Fans of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip were excited to see The Real Housewives of Orange County OG Vicki Gunvalson return to the screen, but after a few episodes, it looks as if she should not have been cast on the show. Vicki was the star of RHOC since season 1 and had a very long run of thirteen seasons as a full cast member. After being demoted to a “friend of” in season 14, she announced that she wouldn’t return to RHOC unless she was given back her full-time housewife role.
Although Vicki brought a lot of drama to RHOC, many viewers found her behavior to be problematic. She often acted entitled and displayed “mean girl” behavior toward her other cast members, such as former RHOC star Kelly Dodd. Vicki also lost a lot of her fanbase when she supported her ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers while he claimed to have cancer, despite evidence of him lying about being sick. Vicki further alienated RHOC fans when she appeared to support Donald Trump, and her son Mike Wolfsmith outed Vick as being an anti-vaxxer.
Many RHUGT fans were expecting Vicki and her fellow former RHOC castmate Tamra Judge to “whoop it up” for season 2. However, Vicki had a poor attitude right off the bat. She complained about The Real Housewives of New York City star Dorinda Medley’s Berkshires house being in the middle of nowhere and not having anywhere fun to go. Vicki also revealed that her fiancé Steve Lodge had just broken with her and was heartbroken. Her sadness cast a pall on the group, and despite doing their best to comfort her and cheer her up, Vicki’s energy remained off.
The other RHUGT cast members, such as Brandi Glanville and Eva Marcille, couldn’t wait to party and have fun, especially after being on lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic. Vicki, who was known for doing tequila shots in Mexico and “whooping it up,” did not want to participate in any of the festivities. Although she was understandably heartbroken about her breakup with Steve, Vicki should have used her time in RHUGT season 2 to bond with the other housewives and remind viewers why she was the OG of the OC. Instead, she let her sadness affect her ability to have fun.

When Vicki was taken to the hospital for her sinus infection, the other housewives noted that Tamra was a lot of fun without her BFF. Tamra admitted that when Vicki Gunvalson is around, she often feels like she has to tend to her or make sure she’s okay. Vicki is also notoriously known for wanting all the attention on her and seemed upset that she wasn’t the star of RHUGT. It seemed as if the timing was off for the former RHOC star, and perhaps Vicki should have sat out on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip season 2.
