Samsung has revealed the date for its next ‘Unpacked’ event, where it is expected to announce its next-gen foldables, the Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold 4.
Samsung has revealed the date for its next big ‘Unpacked’ event via a cryptic tweet. The tweet comes a day after well-known tipster Evan Blass claimed that Samsung would host its next launch event on Aug. 10. While the company has been tight-lipped about what to expect on that day, reports suggest that it could unveil its next-gen foldables — Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 — at the event. Blass also revealed in a follow-up tweet that the event would be named ‘Unfold Your World,’ which would also suggest that its upcoming foldables would make an appearance on that day.
A slew of leaks over the past few months have revealed quite a bit about the Z Flip 4 and the Z Fold 4. A render of what’s said to be the Galaxy Z Flip 4 was also posted online last week, revealing some of its design aspects. It was also leaked last month on the YouTube channel TechTalkTV, but the video has since been removed for alleged copyright infringement. As for the Z Fold 4, leaks have revealed that it will not ship with a built-in stylus because Samsung wants to make the new device smaller, thinner and lighter than its predecessor.

On Monday evening, the official Samsung Mobile Twitter account posted three images as part of a cryptic tweet that revealed the date of its next big launch event. Initially, the cryptic tweet wasn’t easy to decipher, but as it turned out, it confirmed Evan Blass’ recent claim that the event will be held on Aug. 10.
Samsung’s Next-Gen Foldables Coming Next Month
As seen from the tweet, one of the images contains random letters, symbols and numbers, while the second one includes a series of colored circles. The final image has six strategically colored circles placed next to one another and is accompanied by the question: “When will something greater arrive?” While the date was always going to be buried within the first image, deciphering the message was initially a tad tricky. However, the three images are connected, and a composite of the three revealed the answer.

To get to the answer, assign each character in the first image a color from the second image based on their positions. Now simply pick the letters/characters corresponding to each of the six colors in the third image. It turns out that those letters are ‘08102022,’ which is Aug. 10, 2022. As for what to expect that day, rumors and online speculations suggest that Samsung might launch the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, as well as the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro. There’s also talk about Samsung possibly debuting the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and a new Bora Purple colorway for the Galaxy S22-series, but there’s no official confirmation of that yet.
