Shahs of Sunset star Mike Shouhed is facing multiple charges of domestic violence and possession of weapons. The victim has been named as Paulina.
The former Shahs of Sunset star Mike Shouhed has been charged with multiple counts of domestic violence and weapons charges. Mike has been one of the leading stars of Bravo’s hit reality show Shahs of Sunset since 2012. The show followed the lives of Persian-Americans living a life of luxury in Los Angeles, California. Over the years, the cameras followed Mike as he navigated his friendships with fellow stars, Reza Farahan, Golnesa Gharachedaghi, Mercedes Javid, and Destiney Rose.
Mike introduced his then-girlfriend Jessica Parido in Shahs of Sunset season 2. The two quickly became engaged and married in 2015. Unfortunately, their marriage lasted less than a year and the two divorced after Jessica discovered that Mike had cheated on her. Fans saw Mike with Paulina Ben-Cohen in Shahs of Sunset season 8 and he claimed she was the love of his life. Mike’s friends hoped he had turned over a new leaf but he was yet again caught being unfaithful to Paulina. Still, the couple managed to work things out and during the season 9 reunion, Mike revealed they were engaged.
On March 27, Mike was embroiled in another scandal when he was arrested for “intimate partner violence with injury.” The reports don’t indicate who the victim was and it’s unclear if Paulina was involved. However, the documents describe the victim as a 31-year-old female, which was Paulina’s age at the time. According to TMZ, Mike was recently hit with “a slew of misdemeanor charges, most notably domestic violence, battery and unlawfully attempting to dissuade a witness.” Mike was also charged with “criminal storage of a loaded firearm and possession of an assault weapon.”
Following Mike’s arrest in March, Paulina addressed the situation through her attorney, who stated, “We are working with the authorities to seek a just and fair outcome to this sad situation. The family appreciates your space and respect for their privacy during this time.” A few weeks later, Mike and Paulina were spotted together in Mexico on vacation, causing speculation that they were still a couple. However, according to TMZ, Paulina’s lawyer, Joshua Ritter, has confirmed that she was indeed the victim of the domestic violence incident and was “looking forward to putting this sad situation behind her and moving on with her life.”

Shortly after Mike’s legal arrest, Bravo announced that Shahs of Sunset would not be renewed for season 10. They claimed that the show had just run its course but many believe the network didn’t want to be associated with Mike’s legal drama. Some of the Shahs of Sunset cast found themselves in a brush with the law during season 8 when Mercedes’ husband Tommy Feight trashed Reza’s house. Reza and his husband Adam Neely obtained a restraining order against Tommy, which caused a strain on their relationship with Mercedes. However, Mike’s charges are much more serious and the future looks uncertain for the former Shahs of Sunset star.
