Three male contestants got to kiss Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia during the premiere of The Bachelorette. Here are those three lucky guys.
The Bachelorette season 19 is off to a steamy start with Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia kissing three men in the first episode. On night one, Rachel even reflected on her time on The Bachelor season 26 with Clayton Echard, who kissed her on the first night. However, both Gabby and Rachel are looking forward to moving on from their experiences with Clayton and, hopefully, meeting their potential fiancé.
So far, The Bachelorette seems to be going great for Rachel and Gabby as they received more than one kiss and gave out their first impression roses. While the first impression rose is meaningful, avid The Bachelor and The Bachelorette fans know that only 10 men and women who received the first impression rose got the final rose. Those are promising odds for drama with two Bachelorettes and 27 contestants vying for their hearts.

Both Rachel and Gabby’s received their first kisses of the season from the following suitors: Mario Vassal, Tino Franco, and Erich Schwer. These guys got the courage to ask The Bachelorette’s for more than just good conversation. Overall, Gabby and Rachel hoped more suitors would make a move, such as professional drag racer Jordan Vandergriff who didn’t seize the moment with Rachel. However, Mario, Tino, and Erich had no trouble leaning in for a smooch before the end of the night. After bonding over his mullet, Erich and Gabby’s kiss was arguably the most passionate of the evening. Despite their passion, Erich didn’t receive a first impression rose, and he was not happy. Sportskeeda reports Erich was shocked when he didn’t get the coveted rose after spending time with both women. He left fans feeling as if he was entitled and overconfident, especially after telling the men that he was “kind of pissed” about not receiving it. Mario and Tino clearly made better impressions as they were the lucky two to get the first impression roses from The Bachelorette’s.
After a lighthearted conversation, Gabby was able to break Mario out of his shell as they shared a few laughs together, which prompted their first kiss of The Bachelorette season. Viewers took to social media to discuss how the kiss was the most awkward kiss of the night, if not the most cringe-worthy first kiss of the franchise. Gabby must have had a different impression than those watching because she said, “He’s a great kisser. He’s giving me butterflies.” Despite the exceptionally uncomfortable-looking first kiss with the second only being marginally better, Gabby gave Mario her first impression rose, marking him the front-runner for Gabby. Shortly after their kiss, Gabby said she was curious about who Rachel planned on kissing the first night.

Tino, who is 28-year-old, and Rachel were sharing an intimate moment on the mansion’s stairs, and he told Rachel that he “wants to make the stairs better,” referencing when Rachel was left broken-hearted at the bottom of the stairs in Iceland after being dumped by Clayton. Rachel agreed that the tender moment made the stairs a better place and that they “definitely have a romantic connection.” After receiving the first impression rose, Rachel and Tino kissed again outside, while the other men were left looking at one another inside, discussing their odds and at what point they should decide to pursue either Gabby or Rachel.
Though the evening was full of jokes at Clayton’s expense, both of the women empathized a little more with him, quickly learning how they can be attracted to multiple men at once. As The Bachelorette season 19 premiere came to a close, the clips from upcoming episodes showed many more men spending intimate moments with the women and plenty of drama to accompany the romance. In fact, The Bachelorette producers have said filming this season was “Hell.” With two Bachelorettes, a pool of men that is shrinking by the week, and a conclusion in Paris, there are many more first kisses to come for Gabby and Rachel.
