Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval believes he is a different kind of singer and makes bigger music than Lala Kent and his other co-stars.
Bravo star Tom Sandoval believes he makes bigger music than his Vanderpump Rules co-stars. It is no longer news that Tom is the lead singer of a band called Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras. The band’s popularity is gradually rising, thanks to their uniqueness. Tom and his band hardly play their original songs. Instead, they perform retro songs from years past and do so in a way that entertains the crowd who attend their concerts.
Although Tom and his band continually make exploits, he is not the only Vanderpump Rules star who is into music. The show has a host of cast members who love to sing. Over the years, some of these stars have released their own tracks. They include James Kennedy, Scheana Shay, and Lala Kent, whose hit songs include Good as Gold, Get Loose, and Boy. With the abundance of musical stars in the Bravo series, it is easy for one to compare them. However, there might be no need for that if one is to go by Tom’s assertions.

On Saturday, July 23, Tom and his band performed in front of a packed house at The Canyon in Agoura Hills, California. Following the performance, the musician and reality television star spoke to Page Six. During the interview, Tom said he makes bigger music than his co-stars. He explained, “I would say that what I’m doing is a bigger production and that’s why it’s called Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras because we’re f–king extra as f–k.” Some of Tom’s co-stars were present to watch him perform at the concert, which was filmed as part of Vanderpump Rules’ upcoming landmark 10th season. They include his best friend and business partner, Tom Schwartz, Sheana Shay, Katie Maloney, and James Kennedy. Tom’s longtime girlfriend, Ariana Madix, was also present.
During the concert, Tom and his band debuted their first original single, Superstars, which could be released within the next few months. He said he was proud of the song, which was originally more electronic before he brought it into a full-band experience. Tom could not help but compare his music to that of Scheana, James, and Lala. He explained that his self-awareness and love for retro songs set him apart from them. He explained, “Obviously, Lala, James, Scheana … they’ve done more original music. Look, I’m on a reality show, let’s be real.” Tom further remarked that people would not be drawn to him singing 12 of his original songs and would not want to put them through that.
Rather than putting people through the experience of listening to his original songs, Tom prefers entertaining them with his and his band’s energetic performance of classic hits from the past. However, the singer is not shutting down the idea of making more original music. Still, if he is to go down that path, he would do so with no other person than his girlfriend, Ariana, who he gushed about saying, “Ariana has an incredible voice, really good. Like, she can sing nearly anything. She’s so f—king good.”

It remains to be seen whether Tom and Ariana will ever collaborate on a music project now or in the future. However, the lovebirds continue to go strong in their relationship with Tom in so much awe of Ariana. Meanwhile, fans continue to brace up for the tenth season of Vanderpump Rules, which continues to be filmed. Bravo is yet to announce the show’s premiere date, but there is no doubt that Tom and his band’s energetic display at the weekend and his bold statement afterward would have whet many fans’ appetite. The countdown to next season is well and truly on!
