If you’ve installed the latest iOS 16 Beta but find it difficult to use, here are two ways to restore the last stable version of iOS 15 on the iPhone.
Although the iOS 16 Beta previews come with significant changes and new features, they might not be suitable for all users. To recall, Apple released the iOS 16 beta last month after showcasing the operating system during Worldwide Developers Conference 2022. Until now, the Cupertino-based tech giant has released three iOS 16 Beta versions. With the first version of iOS 16 Beta, Apple previewed lock screen customization, a feature that has been missing from the iPhones since they came into existence.

With the second beta version, the company rolled out the ability to backup iPhone data on cellular data as several users already have access to 5G data services that are faster than most Wi-Fi connections. The most beta version comes with iCloud Shared Photo Library. A feature teased at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2022.

Uninstalling iOS 16 Beta and returning to the last stable version of iOS released by Apple is easy. As mentioned on a support page by Apple, the simplest way to uninstall iOS 16 Beta is to delete the beta profile users created and install the next stable iOS version. However, the only downside with this method is that users might have to use the iOS 16 Beta on their devices for some time. Apple mentions that users can download an already available update, but “the iOS or iPadOS version must be later than the version” users already have. If users don’t want to wait and remove the iOS 16 Beta immediately, they should follow the steps given below.
How To Install IOS 16 Public Beta & Try The New IPhone Features
Apple mentions that all the data backed up while using the beta version won’t be available upon restoring to an older version of iOS. Hence, if users have been testing the iOS Beta for quite a few days, there is a good chance that they won’t be able to restore the data backed up during that time until iOS 16 is available for all. It is also why all users are not recommended to download and install the latest iOS beta. In general, it is not advisable for regular users to download iOS 16 beta on their primary Apple device.
