A new electric SUV has got the car industry taking notice, and Supercar Blondie has got the first taste of the VinFast VF8 in the real world.
The SUV is the first electric VinFast to hit the US market and is designed by the incredible team at Pininfarina (masters in the industry who have designed for Ferrari, Maserati and other iconic brands).
Supercar Blondie took it for a spin in the US and says “you are going to see this everywhere in the next few years”.
And of course the best way to get to know a new car is a quick speed test in a cleared-out car park.
“It’s incredible the kind of feeling you get behind a fully electric car, I love it,” Supercar Blondie’s Alex Hirschi said.

The cool stuff in the VinFast VF8
The first thing you notice is the design of it, which was a partnership with Pininfarina.
“The fact that VinFast has gone to Pininfarina to get like the top, top design for their new car – that’s kind of a big deal,” Alex said.
Then once you open the door you get into some of the futuristic tech.
The voice-activated control is next level.
Have a craving for some burgers? Ask the VF8 and it’ll tell you where to go.

Your voice can control everything from the sunroof opening to the temperature of the climate control.
“I don’t have a car where voice activation works this well,” Alex said.
The jokes the VF8 cracks are very much something you’d hear your dad say at a family barbecue.
The dashboard display behind the steering wheel is also gone, replaced by a heads-up display.
And there’s a camera on the steering wheel with facial recognition. It knows who the driver is and adjusts all the settings to their preferences.
