Tamra Judge has confirmed her The Real Housewives of Orange County season 17 return, and fans can’t wait to see the iconic personality onscreen. The online response to the news has been positive overall, and RHOC viewers are hoping that the show will be reinvigorated by her presence. Recent seasons weren’t so well-received, but over the years, Tamra has been known for bringing entertainment value to the series.
She first appeared onscreen in RHOC season 3, and maintained her full-time role for 12 years. Aside from knowing how to hold her own in times of conflict with other cast members, Tamra also presented compelling storylines about her own personal life. A strained relationship with her son, and some cracks in her marriage early on, made for an interesting watch. Down the track, fans saw her get divorced, and find new love with Eddie Judge. Most viewers felt that Tamra was very deserving of her happy new beginning.
Meanwhile, Tamra’s relationships with her friends and fellow cast members have also rarely failed to disappoint. She is known for throwing the first glass of wine in the entire The Real Housewives franchise, Also, she’s constantly having on-again, off-again moments with ex-housewife, Vicki Gunvalson. In general, seeing her interact with new cast additions is intriguing. There are a few Tamra hallmarks that fans would love to see when she comes back, and it’s time to discuss them:
One of Tamra’s most iconic qualities is her tendency to call things out when she thinks it’s justified. Throughout the time that Vicki was dating Brooks Ayers, Tamra was always honest about her opinions of him. When Tamra was going through the separation with her ex Simon Barney, fellow housewife Jeana Keough didn’t believe Tamra’s domestic abuse allegations. Tamra was not afraid to show how disgusted she was with Jeana, at a party during season 6, and that made RHOC history.
Fans have loved watching Tamra in her relationship with Eddie Judge. Having had her abusive previous relationship play out on screens, viewers were well aware of the emotional turmoil that Tamra experienced before Eddie came on the scene. From a long-awaited proposal in Bora Bora to opening their gym, Cut Fitness, together, Eddie has been a far cry from what Tamra had previously been involved with.
Tamra has been up to quite a bit since leaving The Real Housewives of Orange County, including her podcast with Teddi Mellencamp, Two Ts In A Pod. Tamra has been open about her relationships with (and opinions of) the current RHOC housewives on the podcast. There is seemingly still tension between Tamra and Shannon Storms Beador, which could be tested when Tamra is in the picture full-time. Meanwhile, Tamra and Heather Dubrow are also not doing so well, and Tamra has also spoken negatively about Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter, saying their banter on the show feels forced. Fans are intrigued to see if Tamra will be able to make amends with the cast when she returns.
