The five new MAFS season 15 couples were matched by Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Pastor Calvin Roberson. Here’s why they think each duo is a perfect match.
Married At First Sight season 15 has kicked off with five new couples, and the experts who blindly matched each duo gave plenty of reasons why they see each marriage working out. The first MAFS season to be set in San Diego premiered on July 6 and introduced viewers to Lindy and Miguel, Krysten and Mitch, Alexis and Justin, Stacia and Nate, and Morgan and Binh. At the end of the show’s eight-week experiment, each couple must decide to either stay together or divorce.
While the experts make it look easy to match couples on MAFS, the chosen participants must undergo vigorous questionnaires and forms to find the best partner for them. Naturally, the experts on MAFS aren’t always right. Although the series generally boasts a low success rate, there are former MAFS alums, like Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner, who are still married today.
Longtime MAFS experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Pastor Calvin Roberson determined the five matches on MAFS season 15. Following Dr. Viviana Coles’ departure after season 14, season 15 will later introduce two new experts, motivational speaker, Hollywood producer DeVon Franklin, and psychotherapist Dr. Pia Holec. With all five couples now revealed and the first episode aired, here’s why the experts consider each couple to be perfectly matched.
Lindy & Miguel
Lindy and Miguel were matched based on their emotional needs. “Lindy is a self-admitted overthinker who is joyful and exuberant,” Pastor Roberson says. “Miguel’s calm nature should help put [Lindy] at ease.” On the other hand, the experts think Lindy, who is self-sufficient and ready to give her all, will complement Miguel’s creative and romantic side.
Krysten & Mitch
Krysten and Mitch were primarily matched based on their shared needs and goals, although they do have common interests like enjoying the outdoors. “Mitch has the self-sufficiency that Krysten is looking for in a husband,” Dr. Schwartz explains. “Krysten shares Mitch’s strong desire to start the family that is so important to him.” Pastor Roberson further comments that Krysten and Mitch are secure individuals who know what they want out of life, which should check off both MAFS season 15 stars’ boxes.

Alexis & Justin
According to Dr. Schwartz, Alexis and Justin have opposite personalities but a shared goal. “Alexis desires a husband like Justin who is more lowkey, while Justin is looking for an enthusiastic cheerleader who can help him strive for his best,” she explains. Alexis and Justin are on MAFS looking to start a family and are interested in taking care of their spouses. Pastor Roberson says that Alexis and Justin’s personalities should balance one another out, especially considering their past failed relationships.
Stacia & Nate
Dr. Schwartz, who calls Stacia and Nate a “natural match,” believes that their hardworking personalities and free spirits will help make their dreams of becoming parents come to life. Stacia and Nate are both self-sufficient like Krysten and Mitch, which the experts think will help them grow a strong bond. “They both share the entrepreneurial spirit to accumulate wealth for their future family,” Pastor Roberson revealed. He thinks that while Nate adds fun to their marriage, Stacia offers support.

Morgan & Binh
Finally, Dr. Schwartz says similar to other MAFS alums, Morgan and Binh’s personalities and individual interests are what make them a great match. “Binh is a dependable nice guy that Morgan knows she needs,” the MAFS expert predicts. “Fearless Morgan will be the willing adventure partner that Binh has been searching for.” While Binh’s chronic frugalness might be a future problem in their marriage, Pastor Roberson thinks that Morgan and Binh, like the other MAFS season 15 couples, should balance each other well.
