The promotion has now been increased to give users up to a six-month free trial of Apple Music with an eligible purchase, and there are a surprising amount of inexpensive products and accessories eligible. It is for new and returning subscribers only — so current subscribers are out of luck — but new subscribers will be the only users to receive the full six-month period. Returning subscribers will get five months free, which is still great compared with standard offers and pricing. It’s unclear how long this offer will last, but the free trial promotional code will expire on September 5, 2022, so move fast to reap the benefits of Best Buy’s deal.

The promotion is only valid for customers using Apple Music in the United States, and that doesn’t just mean the Best Buy purchase must be made inside the U.S. The code must also be redeemed using the Apple Music service in the same country, with the person redeeming the offer being 13 or older. After the trial period ends, users will be charged for an individual plan for $9.99 per month unless the subscription is cancelled 24 hours before it is set to renew. The code will be sent to the email address used to make the Best Buy purchase along with instructions on how to redeem the Apple Music offer.
