RHONJ star Jackie Goldschneider responds to rumors of her possible demotion. She is keeping busy with writing a book and a possible podcast.
There have been rumors swirling that The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jackie Goldschneider has been demoted to a “friend of” on the show, and she recently shared what her upcoming plans are. Jackie was introduced to RHONJ fans in season 9 and caused waves when she went head-to-head with Teresa Giudice. The former attorney had no problems mincing words, and their feud exploded when Jackie brought up Teresa’s prison sentence during a heated argument.
During her seasons on RHONJ, Jackie brought up the eating disorder she struggled with that started when she was teased for her weight as an adolescent. Although Jackie claimed that her eating disorder was behind her, castmate Margaret Josephs mentioned she was worried about her, but Jackie insisted she was fine. However, in RHONJ season 12, Jackie revealed that her eating disorder has been an ongoing issue and she’s never fully recovered. Much of Jackie’s storyline focused on her seeking professional help and opening up to her husband, Evan Goldschneider, about her struggles.

RHONJ fans applauded Jackie for sharing her story about her eating disorder and being so open about her recovery journey. Jackie, who had been slammed for being “boring” in previous seasons, finally opened up about her personal struggles. However, since RHONJ season 12 ended, there has been talk of Jackie being demoted from a full-time cast member. Although Bravo hasn’t confirmed anything yet, Jackie is preparing for her lesser role. The RHOBH star revealed to Page Six, “I’m writing my first book now. I’m very close to my book deal. My agent has my proposal and I’m pitching a podcast actively, so there’s a million different roads.”
Jackie went on to say that no matter what her role is on RHONJ, she plans to be on the show for a long time. She shared that she is grateful for RHONJ and added, “I’m so happy that it happened so that I can continue raising awareness for eating disorders no matter what happens on the show.” Jackie admitted that while her recovery is going well, it’s not as easy as she believed it would be. She revealed that there are a lot of “hurdles” for her and that one of her obstacles has been her clothes not fitting her anymore. However, she shared, “I have to take a step back and realize what I’m doing for my health and how much more important that is.”
