Snowflake Mountain season 1 ended, and one cast member left $50,000 richer. Fans want to know who took home the prize after bracing the wilderness.
The cast of Snowflake Mountain is forced to survive in the wilderness and one contestant who has changed the most after the unique experience is rewarded with a grand prize of $50,000. The group of lazy Gen-Z contestants are tricked into learning discipline through a series of entertaining adventures. The spoiled cast expected to be lounging in paradise and creating drama for a reality show, but little did they know they would also be competing in grueling Survivor-esque challenges along the way.
By the end of Snowflake Mountain season 1, viewers were rooting for any of the 10 contestants to bring home the prize, as they all seemed to grow a lot from the show. The cast of 19 through 26-year-olds were coasting through life without much responsibility. They were all taken out of their normal lives and asked to work together to compete in challenges throughout the UK’s beautiful Lake District. From trekking up mountains to caring for chickens and climbing trees, these “snowflakes” did it all.
The cast of Snowflake Mountain was guided by two survival teachers, Joel Graves and Matt Tate, who taught them how to fend for themselves and overcome their fears. The “snowflakes” conquered their fears, from fear of heights, bugs, and hard work. The show had some dramatic highs and lows on the season, especially Carl Lariviere’s medical evacuation after he risked spraining his knee, then actually dislocated his shoulder, in the penultimate episode.
Matt and Joel picked three finalists in the Snowflake Mountain season 1 finale. They chose Deandra Joseph, Sunny Malik, and Liam Brown as the three contestants who have grown the most over the course of the show. After picking the finalists, it is up to the remaining contestants of Snowflake Mountain to decide who ultimately earns the grand prize. In the end, the group chose the fan-favorite Wilderness Warrior to be Deandra, because she got out of her comfort zone and embodied what the show is about the most.

Deandra said the turning point for her on the show was Last Chance Lake, as she pushed herself to her limit and was humbled by camping out in the wilderness. She made herself proud on Snowflake Mountain and clearly made her fellow contestants proud as well. Deandra was appreciative for the journey and the prize money, as she is already putting both to good use by opening her own business. Deandra opened a hair and makeup studio, with her friend doing hairstyling and Deandra becoming a professional makeup artist. Snowflake Mountain viewers were ecstatic that Deandra won the prize and has taken all of the valuable lessons she learned to heart.
