Wendi Kong is one Love Is Blind season 4 contestant who got hardly any screen time, though interest in her is rising after she revealed that she actually got engaged on the show. The fourth season of the hit Netflix dating series, choose to take five engaged couples to Mexico, which led to Wendi and her fiancé being cut despite having a proposal in the pods. However, Wendi hasn’t allowed this treatment to slow her down.
Wendi’s Netflix bio lists her as a 28-year-old aerospace engineer who was looking for love. However, she wanted to appear on Love Is Blind to meet new people and potentially find her life partner. Wendi stated the qualities she is looking for in a partner while adding that she likes an active man. Surprisingly, Wendi found a match on the show, though it wasn’t aired to the audience.

Wendi had her relationship with Jimmy Forde, a 28-year-old operations manager, cut from Love Is Blind season 4. The engagement between Ava Van and Josh “JP” Schulz was also cut, although this couple split shortly after filming. People shared that Wendi and Jimmy got engaged after connecting from the start and being each other’s top picks during the pods. “They bonded over their joint interests, including shared careers in engineering, and the relationship continued to grow over time,” People revealed. The couple dated for three months after the show but split once they discovered they had different perspectives on dating.

Unlike Ava and JP, Wendi and Jimmy split on amicable terms and still appear friendly. Since Love Is Blind was filmed last year, Wendi has shared some aspects of her life on social media. The aerospace engineer doesn’t share much about her life. However, Wendi shared that she went to Lake Serene, France, in September 2022 after filming. The Seattle-based professional also enjoys time with her dog, as Wendi shared a sweet snap that saw some fans wishing to see her on Netflix. “Wish we saw more of you on LIB queen!!!” one user wrote. Cast member Tiffany Pennywell also commented on the post.
Love Is Blind season 4 isn’t the first time engaged couples were cut from the show. It’s known the production team doesn’t have room for all couples during the Mexico honeymoon phase of Love Is Blind. However, it’s unclear why Wendi was cut when other couples appeared on the trip. Fellow cast member Irina Solomonova, who went to Mexico, revealed at the reunion that she wanted to leave the show before Mexico but was encouraged by producers to go on the trip. Therefore, it seems that Love Is Blind focuses on couples who they think will bring the most drama.
