The latest quiz to go viral on TikTok is the ‘What Is Your Weakness?’ quiz, with several users taking to the platform to share their results. In the past few months, there have been a bunch of quizzes that have become popular on TikTok. Many of these tend to revolve around the human personality. The ‘Human Emotion’ quiz was among them, asking people to answer 10 questions and assigning them an emotion like ‘joy,’ ‘anger,’ or ‘humility‘ as their defining personality trait.
Another quiz that recently took off on the platform was the ‘Mental Age’ test, which measured the test-taker’s psychological capabilities to reveal how much older or younger they are mentally in comparison to their actual age. Unlike some of the other shorter quizzes, this test involved 30 questions that users had to answer to get their results.
The ‘What Is Your Weakness?’ quiz is hosted on the quiz platform uQuiz. The website is a quiz aggregator, with thousands of quizzes that users can choose from, ranging from those that tell people which Little Miss character they are to giving them a playlist based on their personality. The ‘What Is Your Weakness?’ quiz is relatively short in comparison to some of the others on the platform, with just eight questions that users need to answer to get their results. The #whatisyourweakness hashtag currently has nearly 350,000 views on TikTok.
Once users head to the quiz landing page, they’re first required to enter their name. This step is compulsory, but users don’t need to enter their real name. In fact, it’s usually better to enter a fake name since many of these websites tend to collect any personal data that’s entered. Even entering random letters or an initial will let users into the quiz. After this, users need to answer some pretty random questions, including deciding which pigment catches their eye, if they have any allies, and even their responses to the inkblot test.
The last question is even more bizarre. Titled ‘Plead for your life,’ users need to enter their answer to the statement. This question is optional though – users can just skip it and click on ‘Next‘ to get their results. Users can choose to share their results using the social media share buttons, or copy the included URL which can be posted on a social or messaging platform of their choice. On TikTok, users are posting screenshots of their results in videos.
The results page also has all the ‘weaknesses’ displayed, and shows what percentage of users got a particular result. Results include ‘you are haunted,‘ ‘you are soft,‘ ‘you are lost,‘ ‘you are straight,‘ ‘you are cold,‘ and even creepy ones like ‘you can not die in a way that matters.’ Users also get an accompanying description next to their result. For example, the ‘you are straight‘ result comes with the description ‘disgusting,’ while the ‘you are haunted‘ result says ‘they’re watching. pretend you don’t notice.’ They’re all pretty random and don’t really make any sense, but users on TikTok seem to be having fun sharing their results in videos.
